About the Expo
The Kapolei Chamber of Commerce working in partnership with Kamehameha Schools, UH West O'ahu and the Dept. of Education is excited to host the 5th annual West O'ahu Student Career Expo.
On October 24th and October 25th, almost 2,000 ninth graders from the following schools will have an amazing career exploration experience at the UH West O'ahu campus:Â
The students will be interviewing businesses to explore possible future career paths and skills necessary for future employment and help build tomorrow's workforce.
- Almost 2,000 students are bussed onto the campus at UH West O'ahu where they have the opportunity to explore different career paths while visiting a university campus.
- Approximately 50 businesses and organizations are participating in this year's Expo.
- The West O'ahu Student Career Expo is an event that is integrated with and supports the 9th grade students as they focus on career exploration and the skills and attitudes necessary for success.
- Students will come to the career expo poised to visit a minimum of three (3) different businesses and will come prepared with questions to ask when speaking with their businesses of choice. The students will interview our participating businesses as they explore careers!
- Ahead of the Expo, each student is provided a booklet to help them prepare for the day. Check out the 2024 West O'ahu Student Career Expo Booklet
